Our ranking system is to encourage leadership,organization and to help all of us compete against other FC at the highest level. Some players from wkc2/DW, where this FC originated, were grandfathered into a higher rank. Not all could be or will be given the same ranks. The decision was made based on the length of time within the wkc2 guild, the level of activity during this time, demonstrated leadership skills and their performance. ffxiv game recognizes 3 ranks within the FC, but grants us the ability and right to design our own ranking system. With this being the case, it was felt that all players who joined this FC will have the chance to advance if they desire.
Ranks are in order as follows: MEMBER, CORPORAL, SERGEANT, OFFICER, MAJOR, GENERAL, COMMANDER. All new players who join this FC will become a MEMBER. *****PLEASE NOTE: IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL SS MEMBER TO BE PRO ACTIVE AND HELP EACH OTHER WHEN EVER POSSIBLE.***** MEMBER: Will remain a MEMBER for 30 days then will advance to the next rank of CORPORAL. CORPORAL: Will remain a CORPORAL for 30 days then will advance to the next rank of SERGEANT. SERGEANT: Will remain a SERGEANT for their remaining time with this FC, unless the individual wishes to undertake a leadership role and wants to advance in rank, They also must be willing to meet the criteria for advancement and to accept the responsibilities that come with the rank they wish to maintain. Criteria will vary between the different ranks as will the responsibilities. Criteria for advancement and responsibilities OFFICER: 1) Must be approved by CJ and 2 OFFICERS. 2) Must have 2 job/classes leveled, one at max lvl 50 second at min 30 lvl and 1 crafting classes leveled at 25 min. 3) Demonstrate that your willing to help others within our Free Company in the game and on our web site when it is possible. When this criteria is met you may be promoted to the rank of OFFICER. Responsibilities as OFFICER:(rank cap is 25) 1) Welcome all new members to our FC, and ensure they are registered on our web site within 7 days of joining. 2) Take the lead in respectfully recruiting new members into our FC. 3) Assist and support your fellow OFFICERS, and communicate with fellow leaders regularly. 4) Organize and lead events within our FC. (May ask any member for help or ideas if needed.) 5) Help review and respond to forum posts. 6) Remain positive and encourage interaction within our FC. Set an example by spending time getting to know your fellow members. 7) Put forth the time necessary to meet all responsibilities. Criteria to advance to MAJOR:(rank cap is 12) 1) Has been an OFFICER for 90 days. 2) Have the approval of CJ, 1 major and all the GENERALS. 3) must have 2 job/classes to the level of 50 and 1 crafting classes to lvl 50. After all criteria is met you may advance to the rank of MAJOR. Responsibilities as MAJOR:(rank cap is 12) 1) Be willing to continue the responsibilities that are posted for the rank of OFFICER. 2) Assist and support your fellow MAJORS and GENERALS with any and all responsibilities to help improve the FC. 3) Will hold 1 special FC event bi-weekly, that is posted on the FC event calender on our web site. 4) Communicate regularily with OFFICERS to ensure that smooth operation of the FC. 5) Keep the GENERALS updated with all matters reguarding the FC. Work to resolve any barriers preventing our leaders from meeting their responsibilities. MAJOR is the highest rank you may achieve within this system. The rank of GENERAL is still top. Only the COMMANDER may change this if deemed necessary. GENERALS responsibilities: 1) To oversee the efficient operations of the free company. If you agree to a specific operational area (community chest items, finances, web site ) make sure the responsibilities are being met. 2) Hold a bi-weekly meeting of GENERALS to review progress. Resolve any concerns. 3) Ensure the leaders' responsibilities are being met. 4) May call upon any DW to assist in any area of our FC as needed. 5) Assist and support your fellow GENERALS. 6) Make sure all ranks within our FC know who our allies and enemies may be. 7) May add or remove members from our FC as deemed necessary.  Will vote on any major decisions within our FC (ie: allies/enemies) according to the following:A) keep the results of votes confidential. B) Majority rules, unless the vote requires a unanamous decision (ie: rank of MAJOR). C) The Commander will not vote unless the vote results in a tie. All GENERALS may request him to vote. 9) Check in weekly review with CJ to discuss the functioning of the FC. The policies and ranking system is subject to change if deemed necessary by the COMMANDER for the betterment of the FC. All members in a leadership role must do everything they can to meet their responsibilities, work as a team and lead by example. Please don't accept a leadership role, unless you are able to put forth the time to discharge the responsibilities. Any member may be promoted or demoted by the COMMANDER without delay if deemed necessary. Policies of all leaders: 1) Remain open minded; 2) Never personalize any decision made in the best interest of our FC; 3) Be an extreme team player; 4) Learn to play the game to the best of their ability; 5) Seek out help for situations from leaders holding the next higher rank than themselves. 6) Lead by example ie: follow policies at all times. It is intended that players use our leaders to solve problems/concern/issues. That is why they are in the ranks as leaders. * It is every players personal responsibility to improve their characters to the best of their ability. In no way is anyone required to help an individual all the time because they may have a higher or lower rank. If a player is unwilling to help themselves, they may not be able to help our FC. Be mindful this is a game we pay to play and people need the time to play their own game. Please reflect our policies and code of conduct at all times. We are a team - our success depends on our teamwork.
